Not my favorite day….

Yesterday we received our new guidebook and all the documents to get started with our dossier again. I have to tell you it’s really got me down with starting everything over again. Thankfully this picture on my fridge is so stinking cute that he keeps me going.

Today I got to touch base with another family that has adopted through Holt from India and we ended up talking for over who hours. She was a great source of information and it is always nice to just have someone who has been there. This family has adopted seven children from India!!

Then I got the not fun phone call. The director of the India program called to give us the bad news that the Indian government has shut down accepting any new special needs families for the next two months. Also after reading the forum last night and then he confirmed today that almost always now families have to make two trips for their adoption. And not even counting this two month delay it will take at least nine months to bring him home. So the bottom line is that unless God gives us a miracle, he’s not coming home this year.
