Camp Masala

This weekend we are heading up to Minnesota to attend a camp on Indian culture.  It is a camp for adoptive families to be able to bring their children to where they can connect with other Indian children and the parents can also learn.  Families in the process of adoption don’t typically go but are welcomed.  I’m very excited to be able to go to this with Emma & Jackson so we can be better prepared for actually traveling to India and also learning some things that we can integrate into our home to keep Ranjit’s culture and heritage.   We still haven’t fully decided if Emma and Jackson will travel with us for the adoption (it would definitely be too difficult for Laila) but we still want them to be prepared.  Jack is saving all his vacation time for bringing RJ home so he can’t attend with us :(

Please keep us in prayer as we travel and learn this weekend.  Please pray specifically that we can find a balance of being respectful learning about the Hindu faith but also sticking to what we know to be true.  There are several other families from our agency going and it sounds like there is a whole mix of different religions and backgrounds.  Should be very interesting and I can’t wait to meet some of the other Christian families that I have already been chatting with online!
