Happy to be home

We are so happy to be at home and all together. Laila has been doing….. Ok. For the most part everything is healing up ok right now.

We were able to piece together the ostomy bag with tape and make it last two full days so I guess that worked out ok. Makes me nervous for ever sending her to therapy or school because of leaks so much and starts to fall off and how are they supposed to try to deal with that??

Our biggest problem is still her feedings. The last two evenings she has vomited almost half of her calories back out between the hours of six and nine. Jack and I are racking our brains to figure out how to make this work for her. It is our biggest prayers request right now.

We were able to go to church in shifts this weekend and all make it there (besides Laila of course) so that was nice. This week I plan to stay home and just try to get this new routine and life figured out. There is something to do with her almost every hour of the day so we are setting alarms in our phones and trying to figure out the best way to do all of this. Between feedings, cathing, emptying the ostomy and meds we are pretty full up all day, let alone the fact that we have three other kids, animals, and a house to take care of.

James 1:5-6 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
