Home and on the road again!

It was a very interesting morning! The night went great, the doctors rounded at 7:30 and I told them I felt comfortable to go home. I knew that it usually takes them 2-3 hours to get the papers together so I knew I would have a little more time to watch her. Well that was pretty much the moment her ostomy stopped working completely again and didn’t start up again for 5.5 hours. I sat with the discharge papers in our room for 3.5 hours and we were all holding our breath that it would start up again and it finally did. They think it was probably just swelling from the trauma of the surgery blocking it a little for awhile.

I didn’t tell the kids we were discharged and we showed up at Jackson’s scrimmage game to surprise them. That was fun and I was excited to get to watch the last two innings of his game. I love watching him play!

Our good friends had let us borrow their camper to try out this weekend so we transferred our bags from one car to the other and we’re off again. I’m thankful that we were able to still enjoy the second half of this holiday weekend and I’m still amazed that she had surgery yesterday and we are already home. She’s a fighter and God is good!

Thanks for continued prayers and support prayers. We appreciate so much having all of you care so much about our family. Truly.

Here we go, off on another adventure!
