Today was a good day. We started feedings off slow and were able to increase mid day. I think we are on the track to be able to go home tomorrow :)
Laila had trouble keeping her oxygen up last night and had to be put on a canula through the night. Today they did some percussion therapy with a vest that vibrates and tonight so far so good on the O2! She thought the vest was hilarious and I loved every minute of it. Some days I wonder why God lets Laila go through so much and then there are moments like that video where she brings me so much joy that my heart literally aches and I realize how dull the world would be without her. Man, she’s great.
Tomorrow morning is Emma’s surgery so please be in prayer for her. It is an outpatient procedure to fix a muscle in her eye but still scary for her and will be painful. Jack and I are playing a nice juggling act this week with lots of help from friends and family who we greatly appreciate. He is bringing Emma and her best friend down to Riley and then switching places with me so I can be with Emma.
We will make it through this. We will.
Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield;my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.My heart leaps for joy,and with my song I praise him.
