"The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor."
—Proverbs 22:9
I woke up with my heart burning for the people of Indonesia this morning and I just felt like I needed to share and ask…. I promise this blog is not going to turn into me constantly asking but today I just have tears in my eyes for a people I’ve never even met.
We have this giant goal of being in Indonesia by the end of next July…..
The need is so great for mechanics like Jack to work on the MAF airplanes that are being used to aid over 600 Christian and humanitarian organizations. We not only get to minister to the local people Jack will be working with but also help these other organizations get food, vaccines, pastors and teachers to people who are isolated because there are no roads to their locations.
The other reason that we would like to be there as soon as possible is so Emma can come with us before college. She will be a junior next year and the reality is that we will be gone for a lot of her adult life. We want her to have the time to catch the vision and the purpose behind what we’re doing so she understands why we’re not here in the States.
We have around 10-12 more weeks of training that needs to be done this spring/summer which means that we need to have committed monthly support secured by January to get set up for this next round of training.
See, giant goal. If there is anything tugging on your heart to help us with that would you be willing to get together with us and let us explain this further? We need a truly committed prayer team and also financial partners.
Consider joining us by going to maf.org/hamstra or contact me to set up a time to talk. We’d love to share with you what’s on our hearts and all the ins and outs of MAF’s financial accountability and vision. 100% of what you give to us goes towards the needs of missionaries, no administration fees.
Could you spare some Starbucks or Mcdonalds to send in $25/month? $50? $100?
