This is a river near our school. During dry season it is all dried up and full of garbage. Now that rainy season has come, all that garbage has been washed away and plants are growing everywhere. New life came from the cleansing rains.
This made me think about how the Lord brings seasons to wash away the “garbage” that builds up in our lives. Sometimes the rain isn’t pretty or fun. Sometimes it seems like it will never stop and we’ll never see the sun again. But of course deep down we know we will.
In the midst of the “rainy seasons” of your life, don’t forget about the wonderful work the Lord is doing to cleanse and refine you. Don’t forget that there is beauty to be found even in that gray season. And most of all, don’t forget that the Son will shine again.
