She is eight. Eight! I can hardly believe it. Wow, the last six years with her have just been a whirlwind of time and emotions. And just a few short weeks ago I really wasn’t sure we would make it to her birthday. I’m so very grateful today.
Laila is so spunky and smiley and full of life. She lights up every room she enters and has a smile that is literally contagious. You just can’t help smiling back at her. She is witty and hilarious and sassy.
She loves playing dolls and coloring. She also LOVES typing on her iPad and pretending to be the doctor writing down all her meds. Listening to her say things like Oxybutynin and Periactin are just hilarious. She loves babies and kids younger than her and they also tend to be fascinated with her and not afraid or realize she is different. She also loves her dog Judy.
Laila, I just don’t know who I would be without you. You are one of my greatest struggles but also one of my greatest joys. God has used you to change me and forever I will be grateful for that. I’m a better person because of you! I love you with all that I am! Love, mommy
