Claim the room

Thursday, March 3, 2016

I have a prayer warrior friend who is just amazing. Well, honestly I’m blessed with A LOT of prayer warrior friends and I thank each of you for being there for us through this time and lifting is up to our good good Father in heaven. But this one friend challenges me to do things that I don’t think of and honestly sometimes feel weird doing.

She challenged me to claim the room. Stand up, walk around and claim this hospital room in the name of Jesus.

So that’s what I’m doing this morning. Walking around the room, inviting Jesus to take this hospital room for Himself and pour His power into Laila to help her body heal.

I’m wearing the armor of God, trust and fearlessness and diving in with words and peace that can only come from the one Truth.

We both rested really well last night. The surgical and urology teams have both been in this morning. Not much plan to change anything today. Her stoma hasn’t had much output in awhile so if it doesn’t come around pretty soon we will stop feedings again and give it more time. Pain team’s plan was to try to remove the epidural today but surgical has said no to that. I’m totally ok leaving it in.

Lungs have been holding steady for several hours now…..

Keep praying! Thank you for lifting her to the Father with us. Peace that passes understanding is real and I’m so thankful.
