After working for 20 years in the aviation, industry Jack felt that God was calling him to use his skills on a different level. For three years we prayed for God to show him what that meant. It wasn’t until 6 months after Laila’s death that God finally revealed to Jack that he was finally calling us to cross cultural missions.
Jack had heard of Mission Aviation Fellowship for years but in the fall of 2017 God really started laying it on his heart. We prayed and one day got the courage to send in an inquiry. We told God that if this was what He wanted for us that we would walk through every door He opened. He not only opened doors but seemed to be rolling out the red carpet! We went to our technical evaluation in May of 2018 and were invited to candidacy training in July of 2018.
We couldn’t be more excited about this amazing organization and that we get to be a part of the work God is doing in Indonesia. Being in a country with 18,000 jungle islands, many still unexplored, MAF is doing incredible work to further God’s kingdom by transporting pastors, supplies, food and medical care to some of the most isolated people of the world.
100% of our financial support goes directly to the missionaries which is pretty amazing. Please email us at ahamstra@maf.org if you’d like more information. We’d love to talk with you!
MAF-US serves more than 600 Christian and humanitarian organizations through: aviation, technology solutions, and training. Their mission is: Sharing the love of Jesus Christ through aviation and technology so that isolated people may be physically and spiritually transformed.
MAF is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit charity.
