Yesterday was a big day of mailing for us! We were able to finish our acceptance papers and our dossier documents and get them all sent to Holt! We’re still waiting on our state apostilled POA and of course our I800A approval but they want all our papers ASAP and since we’re not sure when those will come we went ahead with the rest of the documents. We had waited and waited on a few of the doctors letters and Jack’s in particular was taking forever. It doesn’t take 4 weeks to type out a form letter and sign it! Jack’s way nicer than me when it comes to this stuff so finally yesterday I got on the phone to them and putting on my raging adoption hormones (you really do get them the same as pregnancy!!) in a few words explained their ridiculousness, talked to the office manager, who happens to be an adoptive Grandmother, and within an hour the paper was signed and ready to be picked up. I really hate having to be that way but when you want your son home you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do!
I’m very excited to get home this weekend and celebrate Jackson & Laila’s birthdays and also to work on our family album and video. When thinking about that I realized that we should probably have the boys (fun to say!) room set up the way it will be when RJ gets here and that he should have a specially made blanket for his bed the same as Grandma Kathy did for Jackson. I picked out fabric at the store yesterday and since Grandma Mary was up here visiting today she was able to take it back to grandma Kathy for me today for her to get working on it. I don’t know what it is but getting to do these things in preparing for him makes it feel real and I’m starting to let my guard down more and more. Please Lord don’t break my heart again!
