Well we’ve gotten one of the three weeks of waiting under our belt. The other three kiddos are back in school and loving it. Our little Laila started back to preschool again and was very excited to be riding the bus this year. She’s the first of mine to ride the bus and it wasn’t as tramatic as I thought it would be but she also rides her own special bus :)
Just at the right time I got a new batch of pictures of RJ yesterday. I had gone for a long walk yesterday (twice) and was praying for some sort of update or new picture and had thought when I got back to a computer I would ask if it would be possible and before I could the pictures were in my email. Thank you Lord for knowing my anxious thoughts before I speak :) One of the directors at Holt was at the orphanage in July and sent some pictures. He’s smiling and playing with a little train. He must really like her because my other favorite batch of pictures of him was taken by her last December and he has great smiles in those as well.
My friend Jill is going to pick her daughter up in China in September and made the comment the other day about watching her daughter grow up through pictures. I can’t imagine how she feels having been seeing her daughter’s face for he past two years as I’m going crazy just over the past six months. I know God has His reasons and His timing but delays are really no fun. I know I’ll see the reason on the other side, just trying to enjoy my life today and what it consists of and continue hope for the future.
Please, please pray that court will actually happen in Sept 4th. I’m trying so hard to get those thoughts of “what if they decide to delay it another three weeks or what if it takes six months to issue his passport like another family I follow or what if the judge says no….” out of my head.
