T-minus Seven Days

I’m going to use the blog as sort of a “done” check list for myself for things I am accomplishing before we leave.  Thought I’d use it on here too so other families who will travel may want to see the hectic days before leaving :)

• booked hotels
• gave names to a friend making a meal calendar
• confirmed itinerary with agency
• emailed med center and consulate to possibly change appointment times
• got care and therapy drivers for Laila all lined up since she’s not going with us
• began a phone number and instruction list for Laila for while we’re gone
• played monopoly with the kids (yep, it’s important!)
• continued delegating jobs for the adoption seminar that we’re hosting right after we return
• had a fun night out with a great group of friends
• measured my friend’s kids to try to compare RJ’s actual size and figured out he’s probably in a size FOUR!  Tiny!
• shopped in my friend’s hand-me-downs for some summer stuff for RJ for in India.  He’ll grow so much over the winter that buying all new summer clothes now would probably be wasteful.
• got some extra snuggles in with my baby girl and realized how much I’m going to miss her since we’re all going besides her
• got his Show Hope t-shirt in the mail today
• realized I really need to download a rupees to dollars converter on my ipod
• got a text from a friend who is letting me borrow her outlet converter
• picked up the kids malaria meds
• contacted grant organizations telling them we have a return date
• wrote a choppy, blog with bullet points ;)

Praying for a copy of the passport tomorrow in my email.  Please pray specifically for that with us and also for the timing for the appointments on the 7th.
